Where is the Dubai Creek?

The Dubai Creek is located in the heart of Dubai and separates the two areas of Deira and Bur Dubai.

On the Deira side of the Dubai Creek is the Gold Souk. On the Bur Dubai side of the Creek is the textile souks.

 

What is a souk?

Souk means marketplace or bazaar.

How do you get from one side of the Dubai Creek to the other?

Abra boats (water taxis) are constantly taking people across the Creek from one side to the other.

It only costs 1 dirham to ride on the water taxi.
