Motiongate Dubai is one of Dubaiโs Top Attractions
Motiongate theme park is a Hollywood inspired amusement park.
It has a variety of rides, shops, restaurants, and shows, so there is something for everyone.
Once we entered Motiongate, we had transported to Hollywood.

Parking is free at Dubai Parks and Resort.
Valet parking is available for 100 AED.
Entrance to Motiongate - Riverland
When you arrive at Dubai Parks and Resorts, you get to the theme parks by walking through Riverland.
It is free to enter Riverland and wander around, so you do not have to have theme park tickets to enter.
Riverland has lots of restaurants along a beautiful waterway.
It is a great place to relax and have a nice lunch or dinner.

When is the best time to visit Motiongate Dubai?
Motiongate Dubai is open every day.
Because most of the rides are outdoors, we recommend visiting in the winter months.
How much time do you need at Motiongate Dubai?
We spent the whole day at Motiongate, and that was enough time for us to experience all of the rides and attractions that were of interest to us.
If you want to take your time, two days should be enough to experience Motiongate.

Lionsgate, Dreamworks, the Smurfs, and Columbia Pictures
What is there to do in the Lionsgate zone of Motiongate?
The areas in Lionsgate are:
The Hunger Games, Now You See Me, and John Wick
In the Lionsgate area, we rode Panem Aerial Tour. It is a motion-simulated ride with a Hunger Games theme.

What is there to do in the Dreamworks zone of Motiongate?
Dreamworks has several areas:
Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar, How to Train Your Dragon, and Shrek
Ali rode Mr. Ping's Noodle Fling ride. It is a spinning teacup ride in the Kung Fu Panda area.
We also rode a 4D simulator ride called Kung Fu Panda: Unstoppable Awesomeness.
When we were in the Shrek area of Dreamworks, we rode Shrek's Merry Fairy Tale Journey.
The Shrek, Fiona, and Puss in Boots characters were also available for photos.

Here we rode the Smurf's Studio Tour ride.
Being in the Smurfs Village transported me back to my childhood.

These are the areas in Columbia Pictures:
Zombieland, Underworld, The Green Hornet, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, Ghostbusters, and Hotel Transylvania
In Columbia Pictures, we rode the Hotel Transylvania ride, Ghostbusters: Battle for New York, and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs - River Expedition.
The River Expedition is a water ride, so we saved that ride for last because we knew we would get soaked.
I also rode the drop tower ride, Zombieland Blast-Off.

It was nice to sit in an air-conditioned theater and enjoy the show.
